INTRODUCTION

Ebenezer Education Trust Nursery and Primary school is an English medium institution of learning
situated on the lower slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro in Moshi district, at Sango Village. It is 6km East of Moshi town along Moshi- Dar-es-salaam tarmac road, west of Pumuani hill. Its located at the side of the tarmac road assures the institution regular and reliable transport.
Additionally it enjoys an excellent cool weather condition for two learning which is brought about by 2 annual seasons of rain, together with cool winds which blow from the North pare high mountain plateau The founders of Ebenezer Primary and Pre –Primary school are the Ebenezer Academy trustee (E.A.T). It is a Non governmental and non profitable Organization registered under cap 375, on 29th Dec. 2004 It is encouraging to note that our institution has achieved well over 60% of the targeted objectives in a short period of about 14 months since the school moved to this area. It will be remembered that the school founder’s pupils who are now here on the new land at Sango Village and in the new classroom of Ebenezer Education Trust buildings, were once tenants of classrooms which belonged to one of the national tern ants housing buildings in Moshi town centre. The pupils and teacher now feel at home and very happy. May our heavenly father, Lord God, bless the donors who contributed material and moral support initiate and maintain the Ebenezer Academy Trust project.

OBJECTIVES

The overall objective with the Ebenezer Education Trust is to join the government of Tanzania in its effort of educating our children by providing quality education for their futures and for the future betterment of Tanzania and the whole world.

OTHER OBJECTIVE

  1. To provide high quality education to children of deferent religions tribes, and colors.
  2. o provide day care services to pre-nursery and nursery age children.
  3.  To train morale of respect, love and patience among the pupils.
  4.  To help the children develop inborn talents by encouraging them and giving them high quality education.
  5.  To help them attain positions in higher learning institution.
  6.  To support disable children and provide education to disabled with a focus on those who have lost their parents as a result of illness including HIV/AIDS. Our main objectives have been achieved very well especially in providing quality education to children of different tribes, religions, colors, and by introducing day care centre for Pre Nursery and Nursery age Children.

CURRICULUM

The school follows the Tanzania Primary schools course of study syllabus which includes the following subjects: English, Mathematics, Kiswahili, Science, Art and Craft, Religion, French, Communication studies and Computer Introduction lessons and Physical Education. Although the later is taught in the classes as Part of Science lesson (Health Education) it is also included in the Extracurricular Activities.

EXTRA CURRICULUM ACTIVITIES

In the extra curriculum activities pupils are taught and organized to take part in out door games as well as indoor games our door games they play football, Volleyball, basket ball and net ball games. Sometimes the boys take part in Friendly football competition with the neighboring Primary School teams. Other extra curriculum activities includes hobbies such as true planting, English Speaking club, fire fighting group, Science club Music, floweriest and drama.

HIGH LIGHTS

  1. We have two dynamic teachers, a male and a female, who organize and train our pupils in physical education activities.
  2.  There is a good number of pupils in the school who have good aptitude for most of the above mention activities sports and other activities related Physical Education

SHORTFALLS

  1. The school is in short of sports and physical Education equipment such as goal posts, basket ball posts and ring, volleyball nets and table tennis.
  2.  Physical Education text books for guiding our sports games teachers
  3.  The school lacks sports and games uniforms.

TEACHERS

Ebenezer Education Trust Primary School has a good team of well qualified Teachers consisting of 3 holders of diploma certificate in Education, 7 Grade A Teachers and two Grade A teachers with child Hood Development (CHD) Certificates. In addition we have seasonal volunteer teachers from U.S.A Britain and Sweden Who come to support the teaching staff – from Britain and U.S.A.
